ELEGANT & LUXURIOUS
Valentine’s Dinner is always a marvellously intimate celebration, and our approach to the menu and the evening itself is to combine warmth with luxury. We will welcome you in from the cold with a menu that has a proper sense of occasion. There are luxurious touches with the addition of Oscietra caviar to steamed brill, and dishes that are full of seasonal accents from the contrast of sea bass carpaccio with Cedro lemon and ginger, to the richness of winter truffle with Cornish red chicken and morels.
AN ITALIAN JOURNEY
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 25TH
There couldn’t be a better time of year to celebrate the food of Piedmont than now. There’s a comforting warmth to Piedmontese cooking shaped by its Alpine location.
And while it may be famous for deep and rich wines (Barolo) and the rarest of Alba truffles, there’s so much more to Piedmontese cuisine.
At our next Supper Club we’re going to take you on a journey to Piedmont and beyond, sharing dishes you may not have tried before. Your guide will be our General Manager Allegra Morelli.
Allegra has worked with Mark Kempson to devise a menu that brings together some of her favourite Piedmontese and British ingredients, and some dishes inspired by her time in the south of Italy too.
You will find a glorious risotto with Nebbiolo red wine but rather garnishing the dish with Robiolo or Tomino Allegra has chosen Lindley Cheese from Nottinghamshire. And then there’s wonderful British venison fillet served with a Jus infused with the Piedmontese liqueur Genziana.
It’s an intriguing and exciting menu and perfect for anyone who wants to know about Italian cuisine beyond Naples or Tuscany.
The great fun of these suppers is that you share a table with like-minded diners in an evening of wonderful food and fascinating conversation. There are only fourteen places available, so if you’re excited to explore Italian food off the beaten track, we recommend booking as soon as possible.
